How can we help?
Short answers to the questions people running Bookora ask most. Every article answers one question.
Getting started
- How do I activate my account? You click "Publish Site" in the preview of your page, create an account with a name, email, phone number, and password, and confirm the code that arrives in your email. Once you enter it, your page is automatically published and you go straight to your dashboard, with no further steps.
- How do I add services and prices?Open Services, click New Service and fill in the name, price, duration, and which staff offers it. The price always appears in the currency of your account. If you need multiple prices for the same service, add variations; if it can only be booked by phone, select Price on request instead of a fixed price.
- How do I add staff?Go to Staff, click Add Staff Member and fill in the name and optionally an email, then choose if they are a Provider or Receptionist. The addition only creates a staff profile, not a login account; if you enter an email, an invitation is automatically sent so that the person can gain access on their own.
- How do I set working hours and holidays?Operating hours are set per day from Settings, in the Scheduling tab, based on your organization's time zone. The switch for each day is permanent and weekly, not for a holiday — for a specific date, block the time from the calendar with Time Block. The block stops new appointments but does not affect class sessions already created.
- How far ahead can my clients book appointments? The booking horizon sets how many days ahead your clients can see available appointment times, from 7 to 90 days. Change it from Settings, in the Scheduling tab, under Booking horizon, and press Save. The default is 28 days. Days beyond the horizon are not offered for appointments; class sessions are not affected.
Classes & packs
- How do I set up recurring members in a class?Open the Schedule, tap the class's time slot, and add the client as a recurring member. From there on, they automatically reserve a spot in every session of that time slot, without needing to book every week on their own. You can stop it whenever you want from the same screen.
- How do I create a session pack?Open the Packs menu, click "Create Pack," and set a name, price, number of sessions (or unlimited), and how many days it will be valid. You can restrict the pack to specific services or categories. The validity starts from the moment you give the pack to a client, not from its creation.
- How do I put a session pack on offer?Open the pack from the Packs menu, fill in the offer price and the "Until" date in the "Limited-time offer" section, and save. The offer shows on your website and in the client's wallet, the front desk sees the offer price when assigning the pack, and it stops by itself at the end of its last day.
- How do I remove a client from a session pack?Open the client's profile from the client list and click the trash icon at the top right of their pack card. The action only reverts unused sessions — those that the client has already booked remain booked. The pack is not deleted, it is simply reset and expired, so it cannot be reused.
- How do I make a class free without charging a session?Open Services and find the service that is behind your class, set the price to 0 and save. From that point on, no booking in this class will consume a session from the pack, neither when the client books on their own nor when you add a visitor from the Schedule.
Day to day
- How do I add a client without an email? You do not need an email to register a client. Start a booking from the Calendar, select "Add New Client," and just write their name — email and phone are optional. Leave both blank, though, and the client will not be saved in the Clients list, so give at least their phone number to find them again later.
- How do I cancel or change an appointment?Open the appointment in the Calendar and click Reschedule to move it or Cancel Booking to cancel it — both work at any time, even if the free cancellation deadline has passed. You then decide whether to refund the session to the client or not.
- How does the waitlist work when a class is full? When a session is full, clients are placed on a waitlist. Once a spot becomes available, Bookora either automatically books the first in line or sends them an email with a response deadline, depending on the setting you have chosen. If the deadline passes without a response, the offer moves on to the next person on the list automatically.
Site & settings
- How do I change my website and photos?Open Website from the menu and the editor opens with the list of sections on the left, one panel in the middle and your live page on the right. Pick a section, change it, and the page updates as you type. The chip in the top bar tells you when work is unsaved. Press Save and the site is live.
- How do I connect my own domain?Only the owner of the organization, with a Pro plan, opens the Settings, goes to Advanced, and writes their domain in the Custom Domain. Bookora shows two DNS records: one TXT that proves ownership and one A or CNAME that points the domain to us. The verification indicates when it is actually active.
- How do I enable or disable notifications? The Settings have a central switch that affects the entire business, not a specific client, and it turns off confirmations, cancellations, and staff notifications at once. Below there are separate switches for each case, so you can keep on only what you need, without cutting everything off with one click.
- How do I upgrade to Pro and manage the billing? As long as early access lasts, every business automatically gets the Pro plan for free once it activates its account — no need to pay anything. Only the owner sees the Billing page, where they fill in the business's tax details and view invoices. The final Pro price is set once billing is activated.
