How far ahead can my clients book appointments?

The booking horizon sets how many days ahead your clients can see available appointment times, from 7 to 90 days. Change it from Settings, in the Scheduling tab, under Booking horizon, and press Save. The default is 28 days. Days beyond the horizon are not offered for appointments; class sessions are not affected.

The booking horizon is how many days ahead a client can book an appointment from your booking page. The default is 28 days; you can set anything from 7 to 90.

How to change the horizon

  1. Open Settings and go to the Scheduling tab.
  2. Under Booking horizon, in the How far ahead clients can book field, type the number of days.
  3. Press Save.

If you type a number outside 7 to 90, nothing is saved and you see a message with the allowed range.

What the client sees

On the booking page the days are shown a week at a time, and the client moves between weeks with the two arrows next to the dates. The days reach the last day of the horizon and no further: on the last week the forward arrow is switched off. Closed or full days are dimmed and cannot be tapped; every open day has a dot. If there is no free time in the whole horizon, the client sees a message that there is no availability in the next N days, N being your horizon, and, if you have a phone number on file, a link to call you.

When a shorter horizon helps

A short horizon (say 14 days) suits a schedule that changes often: clients do not book into days you may need to close. A long horizon (say 60 days) suits clients who plan early, such as before holidays or events.
