How do I enable or disable notifications?

The Settings have a central switch that affects the entire business, not a specific client, and it turns off confirmations, cancellations, and staff notifications at once. Below there are separate switches for each case, so you can keep on only what you need, without cutting everything off with one click.

Open the Settings and go to the Notifications section. There you will find a master switch that applies to your entire business — not a specific client or staff member — and below it, separate switches for each type of notification, so you can keep on only what you need.

Where to activate or deactivate notifications

  1. Go to Settings and open the Notifications tab.
  2. Use the Email Notifications Enabled switch to turn them on or off all at once.
  3. Below, activate or deactivate each type of notification separately, depending on what you want to receive for yourself and your staff.

Every change is saved immediately, without needing to click anywhere to "Save."

What exactly does the master switch turn off

The Email Notifications Enabled switch is a setting for the entire business, not for each client separately — one client cannot have them turned on while another has them turned off. When you turn it off, all of the following stop immediately:

  • Confirmation, cancellation, and rescheduling of bookings to the client.
  • Confirmation of participation in a lesson or class.
  • The email verification code that a new visitor receives before locking in their appointment.
  • Waitlist notifications (joining, offer of a spot, upgrade to booking).
  • Notifications to staff for new bookings or cancellations, and to you for cancellations or new member registrations.
  • The invitation you send to a new staff member to create an account.

Which switches can I set separately

Below the master switch, there are five more specific ones:

  • Require Booking Verification — the visitor must confirm their email with a code before locking in their appointment. Enabled by default, it helps prevent fake bookings.
  • Notify Staff on New Booking — sends an email to the staff member when an appointment is booked with them. Enabled by default.
  • Notify Staff on Cancellation — notifies the staff when their appointment is canceled. Enabled by default.
  • Notify Admin on Cancellation — sends you an email when a booking is canceled. It is off by default — if you want to be informed about every cancellation, you need to turn it on yourself.
  • Notify Admin on New Member — notifies you when a new member registers. Enabled by default.

If you or any staff member makes a booking or cancellation, you do not receive a notification for your own action — only for what clients or your colleagues do.

Which messages are received regardless of what you turn off

Messages concerning your own account as the owner are not affected by any of these switches — e.g., the email you receive when you publish your site for the first time. These do not concern your business's clients, so they always come.

A client without a registered email does not receive any of the above anyway, regardless of the switches — there is no address to send to. If you serve a client without an email, see how to add a walk-in client — the booking works normally, just none of the above messages are received.
